KKProjects | Life is Art Foundation says goodbye to summer with one last HOT NIGHT. A night of hot fashion, hot adventure + hot women, some even say goodbye to clothing. Performances and installations by all New Orleans artists.

ADRIAN PRICE | On the Road

Along a desolate roadside, a hitchhiking woman awaits her next transport; an eponymous moment charged with choice and chance. Curious events ensue along the road in the intense heat of an ongoing sunset.

THOMASINE BARTLETT + MINKA STOYANOVA | Hot Mommas

A series of living tableaux. Mother-daughter team Bartlett + Stoyanova recreate period ensembles depicting 6 Louisiana women whose lives predate Air Conditioning. Live model/performers sit, sweat, and remove clothing as they attempt to endure the late summer heat, a reflection of fashion's unerring battle with environment.

CREE MCCREE | BioReMadeAble

The large windows of Derelict Cottage are converted to a visible backstage. Behind the glass, women change and adorn themselves with flora and fauna, preparing for the runway - the dirt road that winds through the artspace. Avant-garde guitarists Donald Miller and Rob Cambre weave a soundscape for the dreamlike parade of work by Oliver, Howlpop, Calamity, UV and Cree. Fashion harvested from the wetlands of Louisiana & the Gulf Coast. Also featured are The Wandering Edibles, a tempting selection of models dressed in the night's hors d'oeuvres, curated by Cree McCree.

JONATHAN TRAVIESA | Paparazzi

Performing as fashion photographer, Traviesa documents the HOT NIGHT Fashion Show and the eveningÕs attendant revelers. An incessant installation of strobbing flashbulbs recreates the unmistakable experience of the paparazzi.

STEPHEN COLLIER | Signature Scent

Essence-master Collier infuses the night with a custom scent through his aromatic atomizer.

ALAN WALTER | Spirits Handling

Walter concocts a blend of hot-season fruit, vegetables and fresh herbs to temper the summer heat.
