Pleat Project 2

Located within a flat grassy field of City Park, Pleat Project 2 gradually emerges from the ground creating a formally and ecologically dynamic topography expressing the elastic potential of earthwork. Geologic-like fissures in the work reveal new materiality while exposing the thinness of the grass surface. Designers Zarse + Keppel work at combining artificial logics with natural systems creating immersive and interactive spatial environments.
